Nicola and Adam’s wedding at Shendish Manor was a celebration filled with love, laughter, family — and just a touch of luck from the weather gods. They had always dreamed of an outdoor ceremony, and thankfully, the skies held off just long enough to give them the stunning backdrop they’d hoped for.
With the manor’s elegant grounds in full summer bloom, guests gathered on the lawn to witness Nicola and Adam exchange vows. Their son Arthur stole hearts as he delivered the rings, and Nicola made her entrance down the aisle with her proud brother Tony by her side, and her daughter Rose walking with her too — a beautiful, emotional moment that truly set the tone for the day.
Adding to the occasion, it was also Nicola’s 50th birthday, making the wedding a double celebration. The joyful energy was in the air — especially as drinks and canapés were served outdoors just in time before the clouds rolled in.
One of the standout moments of the day was the speeches. Nicola’s mum, Christine, shared some touching words, followed by heartfelt speeches from both Nicola and Adam that had everyone laughing and wiping away a few happy tears.
The afternoon ended with a brilliant surprise — a lively game of bingo hosted by daughter Rose, which had guests grinning from ear to ear and gave the day an extra touch of personality and fun.
As evening fell and the rain finally cleared, we were lucky enough to catch some soft golden light for portraits around the grounds and in the long meadow grass — the perfect peaceful close to a day full of fun and celebration.
Nicola and Adam, thanks for asking me to photograph your wedding day. It was great fun capturing it all for you. Here is your sneak peek storyboard!
