Last Monday, I had the absolute joy of photographing Brett and Christina’s wedding at the iconic Hedsor House, and honestly… what a day. October weddings in the UK can be unpredictable, but we were gifted with the most crisp, sunny autumn weather—so beautiful that we even had an outdoor drinks reception in October! That alone felt like a little wedding miracle.
From the moment I arrived, the energy was amazing. Christina and her bridesmaids were getting ready in the Bridal Suite, which has to be my all-time favourite bridal prep space. Think four-poster bed, dreamy natural light, high ceilings, and elegant details—it’s a photographer’s playground. The girls were in high spirits, popping champagne on the balcony, laughing nonstop, and sharing the sweetest gifts from Christina. It set the tone for a relaxed, joyful morning.
Then came one of the most emotional moments of the entire day—Christina’s dad seeing her for the first time. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. It was raw, heartfelt, and such a privilege to capture. These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.
The team at Hedsor, led by the incredible Georgie, were fantastic (as always). Everything ran seamlessly—Hedsor weddings always feel effortless, even though there’s so much happening behind the scenes. And Seventh Heaven absolutely outdid themselves with the flowers. The arrangements were elegant and romantic, perfectly complementing the grandeur of the venue.
After the ceremony, we took a stroll around the stunning grounds with the newlyweds for portraits, and honestly… we spent most of the time laughing. Brett has some legendary impressions up his sleeve, and Christina’s laugh is the kind that’s completely contagious. Couples like this make my job easy.
It was also brilliant to have Mark Shipperley on video, the perfect partner in crime for capturing all the magic, and a massive thank you to Leela for second shooting—couldn’t have done it without you.
From start to finish, the whole day was an absolute dream to photograph. Gorgeous light, genuine emotion, stunning setting, and a couple who radiate fun and love in equal measure. I honestly couldn’t wait to share some images, so…
