Last Friday I finished my 2022 wedding season by photographing Jill and Paul’s beautiful wedding day, at Notley Abbey.

The most flattering compliment as a wedding photographer is when a couple book you after seeing your photos from a wedding they attended. I met Jill and Paul in France, at Paul’s daughter Stacy’s wedding and I was so chuffed when they asked me to photograph their big day.

Jill and Paul’s warmth and laughter together is so infectious and it’s easy to see why they are so loved by all their family and friends. They literally didn’t stop smiling, laughing and joking with everyone all day and they made our job so easy.

Even the weather held for us, so we got to enjoy the final moments of daylight and use the grounds to take some beautiful shots of Jill, Paul, and all their bridal party before they headed inside for the drinks reception.

The speeches were another highlight of the day and Paul, Dan, Tom, and Best Man, Paul all did a great job of entertaining the guests with funny stories and lovely words about Jill and Paul.

After a quick change around and a few drinks in the main house, it was time to get the party started with the first dance! After a few moves from the happy couple, everyone joined them to party on into the night and enjoy the singing from Sam Frost.

Jill and Paul, thanks so much for asking me to photograph your wedding. You guys were literally the perfect couple and it was such a pleasure to play a small part in your wedding day.
