Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Tanya and Daniel’s wedding at the beautiful venue of The Grove Golf Club, Hotel and Spa in Watford. The venue had so many great locations for creative shots and thankfully the weather also held nicely for us all day. Add to that that Tanya and Daniel are an awesome couple as were all their guests, we were basically guaranteed a great day.
I met up with Tanya and her bridesmaids at their home in Watford. Champagne was flowing and there was plenty of laughter as everyone got pampered with hair and make up. I have done a couple of weddings with the make up artist Jodie now and her work is flawless. You can view her facebook business page here.
Everyone headed over to The Grove to check in and put their dresses on. Tanya looked stunning in her dress and the views out over the course from the room made for a great backdrop to the final preparations.
Dan managed to fit in an early morning round of golf with his Groomsmen and a few guests before getting ready and greeting the guests as they all arrived ready for the ceremony.
It all got a bit emotional as Tanya walked down the aisle with her proud Uncle to start the ceremony. Tanya and Dan smiled and laughed the whole way through and it was a pleasure to capture it all for them both in front of all their close friends and family.
Everyone got to enjoy the grounds and the weather as the drinks and canapes flowed throughout the reception. We made the most of the time and got some lovely shots of the happy couple around the grounds before heading in for the wedding breakfast.
After a fantastic buffet style feast it was time for the speeches. This was one of the many highlights of the day as both Dan and the Best Man did a fantastic job of entertaining the guests with funny story’s, props and heart felt words and thank yous.
With the sun now starting to set we went out for a few last shots on the course and around the fountains before heading in to get the party started with the first dance.
I knew from how fun the guests were all day that we would get a full dance floor and as the band kicked in we were not disappointed, everyone gave Tanya and Dan the perfect ending to the perfect wedding day by dancing the night away with them both.
Tanya and Dan, thanks for asking me to be your wedding photographer. You are such a great couple and we loved every part of your wedding day. I hope you have an amazing time globe trotting on your honeymoon. Heres your sneak peek storyboard!
Big thanks also to Rich for assisting and 2nd shooting on the day. Great job as always mate.
