The Wedding of Katie and Chris – Hedsor House – Sneak Peek Storyboard!

Last Friday my 2020 wedding season began with Katie and Chris’s amazing wedding at Hedsor House in Taplow.

I met Chris 12 years ago whilst travelling Canada and I was really chuffed when he and Katie asked me to photograph their wedding.

Hedsor is one of my favourite venues, it’s beautiful all year round and it’s not surprising that it has been featured in so many films. The bridal suite has to be the best I have ever seen and that’s where I started the day with Katie, her bridesmaids and parents.

Katie was super relaxed as she enjoyed the morning drinking champagne and getting pampered with her bridesmaids. She looked stunning in her dress and her father Phil did well to hold back the tears as he came in to see her for the first time.

She was later surprised with two beautiful bracelets, a Tiffany’s one from Chris and a diamond family heirloom from her parents.

Chris enjoyed his morning with his three best men as they had a few beers at the Chequers Inn and some photos around Hedsor with Alex before heading off to the church to greet guests arriving.

The ceremony was really lovely and had a real personal feel as one of the Vicars has known Katie and her family since she was a child.

It was a pleasure to photograph Katie and Chris say their vows and exchange rings to become Mr and Mrs Ball in front of all their close family and friends.

It was a crisp winters day outside and even the sun made an appearance as Katie and Chris walked through a shower of confetti before being congratulated by all their guests.

After a few photos at the church we headed over to Hedsor where all the guests were waiting outside to greet the happy couple before heading in for drinks and canapés.

We had a fun photo session with the bridal party and Katie and Chris before heading in to warm up and cover the drinks reception.

The wedding reception room had been decorated to perfection and Chris’s sister had made a fabulous cake for them both.

They were introduced to a loud cheer and round of applause before settling down to enjoy a three course meal complete with Expresso Martini shots to finish which lead nicely into the speeches!

I always love photographing the speeches and Phil, Chris and his three best men (Graham, Joel and Ross) all did a fantastic job of sharing funny and sentimental stories about Katie and Chris.

With the evening drawing in, the dance floor had been set and a large “Love” sign sat the top of the balcony as Katie and Chris took to the floor for their first dance which was beautifully sang by their friend Rachel.

Soon after the band kicked into action and everyone took to the dance floor to party the night away and end a truly perfect wedding day.

Katie and Chris, I’m so happy for you both and I can’t wait to see you later in the year. I hope you have an amazing honeymoon and enjoy looking through your sneak peek storyboard below.

Big thanks also to Alex Bradbury for 2nd shooting on the day, great job as always.
