Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Kimberley and Liam’s wedding which was held at Berkhamsted School.
I met up with Kimberley at her home where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids, parents, flower girls and her little boy Monty. Everyone was buzzing around with excitement for the day ahead and enjoying being pampered with hair and make up, whilst enjoying a few glasses of champagne.
Kimberley looked beautiful in her dress and we had some time to do some lovely portraits of her with her bridesmaids and parents before heading just a short walk down the road to Berkhamsted School Chapel.
Storm Dennis could not dampen anyone’s spirits as it was all laughs and smiles as guests arrived fighting with the wind and a few inside out umbrellas.
The Chapel is simply stunning, with large stain glass windows and a wide staircase leading to the alter.
The ceremony was lovely with hymns and readings, and it was a pleasure to photograph Kimberley and Liam saying their vows and exchanging rings to become husband and wife, in front of all their friends and family.
We stayed in the Chapel for a few group photos before the guests headed off for reception drinks and canapés.
Soon it was time to head over to the reception which started with Kimberley and Liam being introduced to a loud applause from all their guests.
Everyone soon settled into their seats ready for the speeches! I always love this part of a wedding day. Kimberley’s father, David and Liam did a great job of thanking everyone who had helped make their dream wedding a reality and also share a few funny stories of Kimberley and Liam’s lives together so far.
Then it was time for the Best men, Dave and Matt to take to the take centre stage and boy did they. They had created a funny song all about Liam and Kim and by the end everyone was joining in on the chorus. So much fun to capture.
After a lovely three course meal it was time to get the party started. Kim and Liam took to the dance floor for their first dance and were soon joined by their son Monty and all their guests to party the night away.
We said our goodbyes to Kim and Liam after doing a few creative rain shots outside which I absolutely love and will look great when we come round to making their album.
Kimberley and Liam, thanks so much for asking me to photograph your wedding. You are both such a lovely couple and made our job an easy one. I hope you enjoy reliving the day through this sneak peek storyboard.
Big thanks also to Alex for 2nd shooting on the day, a great job as always.
