For my final wedding of 2018 I had the pleasure of photographing Lauren and Simon’s wedding at the beautiful Lains Barn in Wantage.
I met up with Lauren and her bridesmaids at Milton Hill House for a few getting ready shots, the prosecco was flowing and everyone was excited for the day ahead. Lauren looked beautiful in her dress, as did the bridesmaids and the flowers she had chosen were the perfect match!
Simon was well looked after by his Groomsmen and looked very sharp as Rich did a few shots with the boys before heading in for the ceremony. The barn always looks great but I love how they decorated the interior for Winter weddings. It makes for a lovely setting for the wedding ceremony and of course the wedding breakfast.
It was all smiles and happy tears as Lauren walked down the aisle to join hands with Simon to start the ceremony. There was a lovely reading and it was great to see such a great couple read their vows and exchange rings to become the new Mr and Mrs Crawford!
Everyone enjoyed drinks and canapés whilst we did some group and family photos. Light was fading fast but Lauren and Simon are such troopers and we had some fun shooting around the front of the barn before heading in to warm up and enjoy the rest of the drinks reception.
It was soon time for the wedding breakfast which to the surprise of the guests was to be carved by a member of each table. They came out in full chefs outfits and looked fantastic as they served their tables.
Speeches were up next and all four speakers did a great job entertaining the guests with funny stories and moments from Lauren and Simon’s lives together. A few sentimental moments too and some lovely words from Simon about his new wife. A great end to the wedding breakfast.
With the evening now upon us everyone headed outside for some fun with sparklers. The guests all made a tunnel for Lauren and Simon to walk down before we all headed back in for a game of Mr and Mrs which was hilarious!
To finish the days formalities Lauren and Simon took to the dance floor for their first dance. Then the band got the party started and they were soon joined by many of their guests to party on into the night.
