Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Liz and Ali’s wedding, with the ceremony being held at Exeter College Chapel followed by the reception at Oxford Town Hall.
I met up with Liz and her bridesmaids at a local hotel and they were all enjoying the morning, music playing and fizz in hand. Liz has a real sense of style and loves to shop, shoes, flowers and jewelry were all on point and she looked beautiful in her dress, complete with long veil.
We had some time to do a few group shots before Liz got picked up in an amazing bright red Lamborghini! Talk about arriving in style!
The Chapel at Exeter College is stunning! I loved every minute of photographing the ceremony. Liz and Ali looked so happy and it was great to watch them say their vows in front of all their friends and family. There were also some lovely prayers and readings along with plenty of Hymns to really create the perfect ceremony.
Liz and Ali left the church to a tunnel of all their friends and family cheering and the sunshine was out so everyone headed to the gardens for drinks and canapés. We were so lucky with the weather all day, it was clear at all the right times and we had so much fun with Liz and Ali shooting some couple shots with the impressive backdrop of the Oxford Camera and Cathedral.
After a little sprinkling of rain everyone walked over to the Oxford Town Hall for the wedding breakfast but not before a little confetti throwing on the steps. I absolutely love these shots and I’m sure Liz and Ali will too!
After a fantastic three-course meal it was time for the speeches and John, Ali and Rik all did a great job of entertaining the guests with funny stories and lovely words about Liz and their families.
Before we knew it the band was setting up and it was time for the first dance, which was promptly followed by a flash mob of dancing from all the girls. So much fun and everyone stayed on the dance floor for the whole of the band’s set. The perfect ending to the perfect wedding day.
Liz and Ali, I’m so glad you guys found me and asked me to photograph your wedding. Alex and I had a great time with you all on the day and I couldn’t wait to share some photos with you so here’s your sneak peek storyboard!
Big thanks also to Alex for 2nd shooting on the day, great job as always mate.
