The Wedding of Rachel and Andrew – Wycombe Abbey – Speak Peak Storyboard!

Last Saturday I had the great pleasure of photographing Rachel and Andrew’s wedding at Wycombe Abbey School. I had previously walked the grounds with them both and their lovely dog Rolo on their pre wedding shoot. We had a great time that day and there are were some really picturesque locations around the grounds which I couldn’t wait to shoot with them both.

I met up with Rachel at their home which is also located within the Wycombe Abbey grounds. It has a lovely big bay window which provided the perfect backdrop to the mornings bridal preparations. Rachel was all smiles as she enjoyed being pampered with hair and make up, as were her bridesmaids who were made up of two sisters on each side of the family. Rolo even had a bow tie on for the occasion, as he was to take part in some photos later. Rachel looked amazing in her dress which had a beautiful long train with a veil to match. I love the final shot we took next to the bay window before leaving for the ceremony.

Meanwhile Rich had been with Andrew and the Groomsmen who had enjoyed a relaxing morning getting ready then a couple of pints to calm the nerves at the pub. They soon headed over to the chapel to greet their many friends and family who were arriving for the ceremony.

The sun was now shining and Andrew was waiting at the front of the aisle. Rachel walked in with her proud father Ian and he passed Rachel’s hand to Andrew’s to start the ceremony. The Chapel is beautiful and the sunshine kept passing in and out through the windows as they read their vows and exchanged rings to become Mr and Mrs Parker. The service was really special with readings from friends and family and some great words of advice and prayers from the Vicar Jane.

As everyone made their way out of the church there were lots of congratulations passed on to the happy couple and plenty of confetti in the air as they walked down the steps to start the drinks reception.

With the heat came a welcome breeze as we did the group shots and made our way around the grounds with Rachel and Andrew. There were some great spots around the lake and nearby meadows and Rachel and Andrew were simply a joy to photograph. Happy, in love and always smiling.

Next up was the wedding breakfast and what is usually the school hall was transformed into an amazing dining space with flowers, lanterns, fair lights, a gin bar and stage for the live band. It looked great and everyone enjoyed the awesome three course meal before Ian kicked off the speeches.

The speeches were another highlight of the day and we loved capturing everyones reactions to the many jokes and stories. It all got a bit emotional in parts and Andrew said some lovely words about his beautiful bride Rachel.

With the sun now beginning to set we headed back out for some final shots before the evening guests arrived and Rachel and Andrew took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife! After a few spins everyone joined them and the live band kicked off the party!

Rachel and Andrew, it’s been an absolute pleasure getting to know you both over the last few months and we truly felt like guests as well as photographers at your wedding. Thanks so much for asking me to cover your special day. I hope you had a great break away. Heres your sneak peek storyboard.

Big thanks also to Richard Foister for assisting and 2nd shooting on the day, great job as always mate.
