Wow! What a day that was. The weather was perfect, the setting was beautiful and Allan and Clare looked great!
I met Allan and Clare in January of this year, they left booking their wedding photography a little late but I’m sure glad they found me and that I had the date free as there aren’t many left this year. They are a laid back couple whom their family and friends adore and its easy to see why.
They met on Facebook and Allan proudly says Clare spotted him first :o) After a few years of dating and doing a fair bit of travelling together Allan got down on one knee on the morning of Valentines day 2010 whilst on a trip to Bournemouth and Clare of course said YES!
The weather was so great on the morning of the wedding that they opted to have the service outside. The Tythe Barn in Launton is one of my favourite venues as it has a great garden area and you would think it is purposely built for photographers with all the aisles, textures and features. Your just spoilt for choice at every turn.
The service was very personal with Allan’s friend playing a couple of songs, a reading from another friend Mina (who also made the cake), and they wrote their own blessings too :o)
Another great touch was that one person from each table was chosen (without them knowing) to carve the meat for the main course and were subsequently dressed for the part in chefs hat and apron…all arriving together to cheers and the Right Said Fred song “I’m too sexy”….great fun!
The rest of the day was very relaxed with a lot of time being spent outside making the most of the Springtime evening. Once the dance floor was set it was never empty and the perfect end to a perfect day was seeing Allan and Clare walking to the bridal suite through a tunnel of sparklers…you just couldn’t ask for more.
Thanks to Allan and Care and your friends and family for making me feel so welcome and I look forward to showing you all the pics in a few weeks but for now heres a sneak peek! Have a great time in Dubai!
