Last Friday I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Rob’s wedding at The Tythe Barn in Launton near Bicester.
We started the day at the Dashwood Hotel with Sarah, her mum and bridesmaids all doing their preparations and getting very excited about the day ahead.
The weather was kind to us with a lovely blue sky as the backdrop to the barn where I met the boys who were all in good spirits having a joke and a laugh whilst guests were arriving. The barn looked great, filled with light and flowers with a violin quartet creating a lovely relaxed atmosphere as the guests took their seats.
Sarah and her father made the beautiful long walk through the aisles in the garden before entering the barn and it was all smiles and a few tears as Sarah’s hand met Rob’s at the front of the aisle.
The ceremony was made very personal with Sarah and Rob reading their own vows and a couple of friends doing readings before the exchange of rings and a walk back down the aisle as husband and wife.
Everyone enjoyed canapes, drinks and the sunshine whilst we did the group shots before dinner and we had plenty of time to snap guests mingling and a few tense games of Jenga!
The speeches were great with lots of funny stories dating all the way back to when Rob and Sarah met at school and a few props coming out to play.
Their good friend Dominic got the party started with a great Acoustic session in the cow shed before Sarah and Rob had their first dance as husband and wife surrounded by their closest family and friends. Then “The Coverups” played to a full dancefloor as everyone partied into the night!
Huge congrats to Sarah and Rob on such a fantastic wedding day. I had a great time living it all out with you and I can’t wait to show you the full collection of photos but for now heres your sneak peek!
(Big thanks also to Paul Mannion for assisting and 2nd shooting on the day).
