The Wedding of Dani and Mike – Stowe House

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of returning to the magnificent Stowe House for Dani and Mike’s beautiful wedding.

This one felt particularly special for me as I had previously photographed Dani’s sister Ali’s wedding to Lewis, so it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces again. There’s something really lovely about being invited back to photograph another wedding in the same family, and from the moment I arrived it felt like catching up with old friends.

The day began with Dani getting ready surrounded by her family and bridesmaids. As always, there was that brilliant mixture of excitement, nerves and laughter as everyone prepared for the ceremony. Dani looked absolutely beautiful, and there were some really emotional moments when her Dad, Joe, saw her ready for the first time.

And what a setting they had chosen! Stowe House really is an incredible place for a wedding. The grand marble room, pillars, artwork, and beautiful grounds make it an absolute dream to photograph, and Dani and Mike certainly made the most of it.

The ceremony was beautiful, with plenty of smiles, laughter and a few tears along the way. Dani and Mike have three children between them, who looked super cute and managed to steal the show on more than one occasion throughout the day! They certainly gave us plenty of great moments to photograph.

After the ceremony everyone headed outside for confetti throwing, then to enjoy the grounds while we captured the family photographs and lots of natural moments between the guests.

Dani had also arranged two beautiful cars from Regency Cars, which looked fantastic outside Stowe House. After the ceremony we jumped into one of them with Dani and Mike and headed off around the grounds for some photographs. With Stowe as the backdrop and that gorgeous car, we were spoilt for choice!

Back at the house it was soon time for the wedding breakfast followed by one of my favourite parts of any wedding day – the speeches.

And these certainly didn’t disappoint! There were some incredibly beautiful and emotional speeches, mixed with plenty of laughter. I always love photographing speeches because you never quite know what’s coming next – one minute everyone is laughing and the next there isn’t a dry eye in the room!

As the evening celebrations got underway, Dani shared a lovely father-and-daughter dance with Joe, another really special moment to capture.

Then it was time to party!

A fantastic live band got everyone onto the dance floor and the celebrations continued well into the evening! We even got to head out for some sunset photos!

Dani and Mike, what a day!

It was such a pleasure to be there to photograph your wedding. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and for giving us so many wonderful moments to capture.

Congratulations again to you both and I hope you enjoy reliving your amazing day through this rather large selection of photos 🙂

Big thanks to Charlie Fearnside for assisting and 2nd shooting on this one too.
