What do you do when a lovely couple ask you to shoot their dream wedding in the woods! You thank your lucky stars, make sure you have plenty of memories cards and prepare for an awesome day ahead of you. That’s just what I did last Saturday for Liz and Dan’s wedding at Lila’s Wood in Tring.

I met up with Liz who was all smiles as usual. She was getting ready at Pendley Manor with her lovely parents and bridesmaids. Everyone was enjoying being pampered with hair and make up and the excitement was rising as we got closer to the ceremony time. Liz looked beautiful in her lace dress and her proud father James was there to escort her to the church in a lovely Mercedes.

Rich had been having a fun morning with Dan and his two Best Men, Ash and David as they all got ready. They all looked super sharp in their grey three piece suits as they made their way to the church to start greeting all their friends and family.

Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Tring is where the ceremony was to be held and the sunshine was streaming in through the many stained glass windows and skylights. It was all smiles and a few tears as Liz walked down the aisle to join hands with Dan to start the ceremony. There were some lovely readings and prays throughout before Liz and Dan said their vows in front of all their close friends and family to become Mr and Mrs Brewer!

Everyone made their way outside and made a confetti tunnel for the happy couple to walk through before we all made the short trip over to Lila’s Wood.

It’s hard to describe just how special Lila’s Wood is but I think the looks on everyones faces summed it up as they walked through the bunting, fairy lights and forest doors to see what Liz and Dan had been planning for many months. Tipis, log fires, fairy lights, a swing, a caravan bar, bbq’s, live music, and a beautiful reception marque awaited them and it was such a pleasure to capture it all. I didn’t know what to shoot next there was just so much cool stuff!

We had a great time taking group shots, bridal party and couple shots around the forest and also shooting all the amazing details whilst the guests enjoyed drinks and canapés!

After a big group shot of everyone we made our way into the marque for the speeches. These were another highlight of the day. James, Dan, Ash, David and Liz all made great speeches and had the guests in fits of laughter throughout with funny stories, pictures and memories shared.

After a delicious bbq wedding breakfast it was time to get the party started! The sun was starting to set as Liz and Dan took to the woodland dance floor to have three first dance as husband and wife. What a setting for your first dance. I love the photos below, so beautiful.

To finish off a fantastic wedding day all the guests took a sparkler and made a tunnel around Liz and Dan to once again create some fantastic photos for the happy couple and give them a truly awesome send off to their honeymoon in Santorini!

Liz and Dan, you guys are awesome! We loved every minute of your wedding day and it truly was a pleasure to be a part of it all. I hope you are reading this whilst sipping on a cocktail in Santorini and reliving the day through the pictures below. Enjoy your sneak peek!
