On Friday I had the pleasure of photographing Lauren and Tony’s beautiful wedding at the always stunning Tythe Barn in Launton.
Lauren and I had been chatting for weeks in the lead up to the wedding and I couldn’t wait to get started as I arrived at the Nook to meet up with Lauren and her lovely bridesmaids.
The sun was shining which meant Lauren was going to get her dream outdoor wedding that she had hoped for. It all got very emotional as she got into her dress and came outside to see her Dad and bridesmaids for the first time. She looked stunning and we could hear the excitement building as the guests were arriving literally steps away from us all.
Alex had spent the morning with Tony and the Groomsmen as he got ready at Bicester Golf Club and Spa. He looked very dapper in his blue suit and was all smiles as he enjoyed welcome drinks with all their friends and family.
It was soon time for everyone to take their seats in the sunshine and enjoy the ceremony. Lauren walked down the aisle with her very proud father Lloyd and there were many happy tears as she joined hands with Tony to start the ceremony.
I love outdoor ceremonies, they have such a relaxed feel and its hard to beat the beautiful grounds of The Tythe Barn. There were two lovely readings, one of which was a surprise, written by Lauren and read by her sister Leah for Tony. Another thoughtful touch.
It was a pleasure to capture it all and as the new Mr and Mrs Purcell walked back down the aisle bubbles filled the air and the champagne started to flow.
Everyone enjoyed drinks and canapés whilst we did a few group and couple shots around the grounds. We had such great fun with the bridal party and of course Lauren and Tony, they were a dream to photograph.
It was soon time for the wedding breakfast and we nipped in and out as Lauren and Tony made their way round the tables greeting all their guests. The barn was decorated to perfection with beautiful details, flowers, candles and fairy lights. Such a great setting and amazing food!
Next up were the speeches and Lloyd, Tony and Johnny did an awesome job of entertaining the guests with funny stories, thank you’s and sentimental words. Once again it was a joy to capture it all.
After everyone enjoyed coffee in the cow shed and a bouquet toss in the garden it was time for the first dance! The dance floor was lit up by a carnival style “Love” sign which provided the perfect backdrop for Lauren and Tony’s first dance as husband and wife!
The party soon got in full swing as the band played hit after hit to keep the dance floor rocking all night and give this beautiful couple the perfect send off to their mini moon to Italy!
Lauren and Tony, you guys are awesome, we loved every minute of your wedding and I couldn’t wait to put this blog together for you guys. I hope you enjoy reliving the day through the shots below.
Big thanks also to Alex Bradbury for assisting and 2nd shooting.
