Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Georgina and Carl’s beautiful wedding at The Diary, Waddesdon Manor.
I met up with Georgina in the morning and she was full of excitement, getting ready with her bridesmaids and enjoying being pampered with hair (by Harriet Bartley) and make up. Georgina looked stunning in her dress complete with a sparkly pair of Jimmy Choos!
Carl was also getting ready at the Diary and was enjoying a few beers with his Best Man James before putting on his suit and going to meet the many guests which were now starting to arrive.
Melanie from Sparkle Events had worked with Georgina and Carl to put together a beautiful ceremony room complete with a huge flower circle, candles, chair decorations and a harpist. It looked amazing!
Carl was all smiles as he saw Georgina walk down the aisle with her very proud father Gordon to start the ceremony. The orangery at the Diary is a beautiful setting for a wedding, the glass roof meant the whole place was filled with natural light and everyone had a great view to watch this truly lovely couple become husband and wife!
The weather wasn’t really on our side but we still managed to take the group and couple shots outside between showers and there were some great undercover areas to use, and with the lake as a background what more could you ask for.
After a lovely drinks reception everyone headed into the wedding breakfast room which once again took everyones breath away as it was simply stunning. Flowers everywhere, candles, details, favours, everything was perfection!
Next up were the speeches and Gordon, Carl and James did a great job of entertaining the guests with funny stories, thank you’s, a few tears and plenty of lovely words.
With the day turning into night we headed out for a quick photo session around the secret garden. Georgina and Carl are simply a joy to be around and photograph. Up for anything and so much fun, we had a blast with them and I love the shots we got below.
With evening guests now starting to arrive we made our way outside for a sparkler tunnel which was again so much fun and great way to kick off the evening.
Back inside now it was time for the first dance which was another highlight of the day and the end of the formalities. Now it was time to party and the dance floor filled as a live Soul singer took to the floor to get everyone involved and belt out track after track. An awesome finish to a truly perfect wedding day.
Georgina and Carl, you guys rock. We had so much fun with you guys and I couldn’t wait to put this sneak peek together for you both. I hope you enjoy reliving the day though these and I will be in touch when your full collection is ready.
Big thanks also to Alex Bradbury for assisting and 2nd shooting. Great job as always.
