Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Rebecca and Chris’s amazing wedding. The ceremony was held at St Nicholas Church with the reception following at the always incredible, Hedsor House.
The bridal suite at Hedsor is simply stunning, this was where I met up with Rebecca and her lovely family and bridesmaids in the morning to start bridal prep. It was a really relaxed and fun morning with plenty of banter and pampering going on. Rebecca had a great view from the top window and the excitement began to build as the wedding car and many of their guests started to arrive.
Leela was over with Chris and the Groomsmen at a nearby hotel and they had a great morning putting the finishing touches to their super sharp suits and of course enjoying a few pre ceremony beers.
Rebecca looked very elegant in her beautiful dress and it all got a bit emotional as her father James walked in to see her for the first time. We had time for a few family groups before Rebecca and her father got in one of the most amazing wedding cars I have had the pleasure of photographing, a 1935 Rolls Royce Phantom. What a way to travel to your wedding ceremony.
The sun was shining as everyone arrived at the church and I think it’s safe to say it was filled to capacity and also expectation as 2pm soon came round. Rebecca looked stunning as she walked down the aisle with her very proud father James, and Chris was all smiles as they joined hands to start the ceremony.
The ceremony was a pleasure to capture with Hymns, readings and of course the all important vows and exchange of rings as Rebecca and Chris sealed the deal with a kiss and became the new Mr and Mrs Appleyard.
With the Autumn sun still shining with abundance everyone made their way outside to shower the couple in confetti before heading back to Hedsor House for the drinks reception.
All the guests were waiting outside the front as Rebecca and Chris drove round the drive in the Rolls Royce. Everyone gave them a hero’s welcome with loud cheers and congratulations before we did a few family groups and shots with the car.
There was a string Quartet playing as everyone enjoyed drinks and canapés in the house and on the lawns whilst we used the grounds to get some beautiful shots of Rebecca and Chris.
The reception room was decorated to perfection and there was a line up as guests made their way in for the wedding breakfast.
After an amazing three course meal supplied by Andy and his team it was time for the speeches. James, Chris and Ross did an awesome job of entertaining the guests with one liners, funny stories and plenty of thank yous and beautiful words about Rebecca. I loved the way they all spoke about their families and you can tell just how close they all are and how much they adore each other. Once again a pleasure to capture.
With the evening guests now arriving it was time to get the party started! Rebecca and Chris cut the cake on the dance floor and then Rebecca threw her bouquet before the happy couple took to the dance floor for their first dance.
To finish off the evening we had to make the most of the evening lighting that is another great feature of Hedsor House. We took some beautiful shots outside and on the upstairs balcony which are going to look amazing in the album. A perfect finish to a truly perfect wedding day.
Rebecca and Chris, thank you so much for asking me to photograph your wedding. It truly was a pleasure to be a part of your big day.
