On Thursday I had the pleasure of photographing Victoria and Micky’s beautiful wedding at the always stunning Tythe Barn in Bicester.
I arrived at the Nook (The Tythe Barns bridal preparations suite) to find Victoria and her bridesmaids enjoying champagne and being pampered with hair and make-up. All in good spirits and very excited for the day’s events. Victoria looked stunning in her dress and long veil and it was lovely to photograph her Father and Bridesmaids seeing her for the first time before heading over to the church for the ceremony.
The ceremony was to take place at St Mary’s Church which is literally opposite the back of the Tythe Barn so it was only a short walk for the bridal party. Kay had already done a few shots with Micky and his groomsmen before heading over to the church where they were greeting all their guests.
Victoria took Micky’s breath away as she walked down the aisle with her very proud father Julian to start the ceremony. There were some lovely readings and hymns throughout and it was a pleasure to be there to see such a lovely couple say their vows and exchange rings to become husband and wife!!
The rain stopped just in time for everyone to mingle in the church grounds congratulating the happy couple before forming a confetti tunnel through to their vintage Rolls Royce which was waiting to take them over to The Tythe barn for the drinks reception.
There were drinks and canapés in the cowshed and a lovely relaxed atmosphere as everyone enjoyed the live music! We had some time with the bridal party, and families whilst taking some group shots and some lovely portraits around the barn before heading in for the wedding breakfast.
After the amazing food it was time for the speeches and Julian, Micky and Omar did an awesome job entertaining the guests with funny stories and lovely words from Micky about his new wife. It was a joy to capture it all.
It was soon time to get the party started as the new Mr and Mrs Blackburn took to the dance floor for their first dance. Such great fun and the DJ soon got all the guests busting out dance moves to party into the night.
Victoria and Micky, thanks for asking me to photograph your wedding. Kay and I had a blast with you all on the day and I couldn’t wait to put your sneak peek together. Have a great mini moon in the Cotswolds and I look forward to sharing the full collection with you both very soon.
Big thanks also to Kay for assisting and 2nd shooting on the day. Great job!
