Last Friday I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Moira and John’s wedding at, the always beautiful, Micklefield Hall.
I had met up with Moira and John a few weeks before and they ran me through all their ideas and plans for the day saying it would be a traditional style wedding but it will have their stamp on it. I loved that and couldn’t wait to see everything they had planned come together to create their perfect wedding day.
I met up with Moira in the bridal suite as she was getting ready with her bridal party. I loved her choice of dress and shoes, totally not you’re “normal” white number and that’s why it was so perfect as it expressed Moira’s individual style and she looked like a movie star as she finished off her final preparations.
John arrived looking sharp in his suit, complete with a pocket watch and also another star on the day, Wilson, their dog, who also had the responsibility of being the ring bearer for the ceremony.
The ceremony was so much fun. John and Moira couldn’t stop smiling throughout and you could just feel the love in the room from all their friends and family as they watched this awesome couple says their “I do’s” and become Mr and Mrs McLaughlin.
It was a beautiful, crisp, Autumn day so everyone headed out to make a confetti tunnel before coming back to the courtyard where they were greeted by the amazing Mariachi Band. The drinks reception was held outside and it was so much fun capturing all the laughter and shenanigans as everyone enjoyed drinks and canapes.
It was soon time to head in and the wedding breakfast started with the speeches! These were another highlight of the day. Moira, John and the two Best Men had everyone in hysterics with funny stories, lovely words, and even a football song to finish.
After a delicious three-course meal, the evening guests arrived and it was time to get the party started with the first dance. It wasn’t long before everyone joined the happy couple on the dance floor, to end the perfect wedding day and dance the night away.
Moira and John, Rich and I had such a great time with you both, and all your guests. You are such a lovely couple and I couldn’t wait to share some photos with you. So here is your sneak peek storyboard!
