Last Friday I had the pleasure of photographing Vanessa and Antonio’s beautiful wedding at Newlands Hall in Chelmsford.
It was to be a small intimate wedding, with only their close friends and family and I arrived just as Vanessa was getting ready with her Sister Natasha, her two boys, Mother Fay and Antonio’s Mother Celi.
Antonio had already earned many husband points before the ceremony had even started as Vanessa was presented with a box full of gifts just before she got into her dress.
We met up with Antonio who was looking very sharp in his suit and orange tie. He was enjoying the morning with his Father Jonas and Best Man Bruno and greeting guests as they had now started to arrive.
Vanessa looked stunning in her lace topped dress and veil and I love the shot of her next to the window as you will see below.
It all got a bit emotional as Vanessa walked down the aisle to join hands with Antonio to start the ceremony. Throughout the ceremony there were some lovely moments and it was a pleasure to capture it all and I’m sure a joy to watch for all their friends and family.
After some confetti throwing everyone headed over to the Marquee where the wedding breakfast was to be held and we did a few group shots in the gardens. Vanessa and Antonio have a beautiful baby boy called Luis who stole the show with his smiles and cool suit!
There were a few rain showers but we managed to nip out in the breaks to get some beautiful shots of Vanessa and Antonio around the grounds. The leaves had just started falling off the trees along the driveway and there were some lovely Autumn colours which made for some great backgrounds. Vanessa and Antonio are such fun people to be around and we had a good laugh with them during the couple sessions.
After the wedding breakfast it was time for the speeches and many of their family stood up to say a few words. Antonio said many lovely words about his new wife and some emotional words in Portuguese to his parents. Vanessa’s father Winston also did a great job with some stories about Vanessa growing up. Natasha, Best Man Bruno, Page Boy Oliver and even Vanessa also made speeches which were all very good and a lovely end to the wedding breakfast.
Next up was the cutting of the cake which was swiftly followed by the first dance. Vanessa and Antonio had a lovely first dance as husband and wife with a large “Love” sign as the backdrop. Then Vanessa had a beautiful father/daughter dance with her Dad before the guests joined them to party the night away.
Vanessa and Antonio, thank you for asking me to photograph your wedding day. Rich and I had a blast with you both and all all your lovely friends and family. I’m sure you can’t wait to see some photos so heres your sneak peek story board!
