Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Harriet and David’s beautiful wedding with the ceremony being held at St Dunstan’s church in Monks Risborough followed by the reception at the Mercure Lambert Hotel.
We were blessed with kind weather and I couldn’t wait to get started as I arrived at Harriet’s parents house. It was a lovely relaxed morning filled with plenty of emotions as Harriet exchanged cards and gifts with her parents and bridesmaids.
Harriet looked stunning in her dress, complete with a beautiful long veil and everyone was a bit speechless as she came down the stairs to show it off for the first time.
Leela had been busy photographing David and his groomsmen getting ready and then followed them over to the church as they welcomed their closest friends and family prior to the ceremony.
Harriet sure arrived in style with her proud father Ian, in a vintage Rolls Royce!
It was all smiles and a few happy tears as Harriet walked down the aisle to join hands with David to start the ceremony. Sunlight was streaming in through the windows as they said their vows and exchanged rings in front of all their loved ones to become Mr and Mrs Newton!
Everyone enjoyed the sunshine whilst congratulating the happy couple before they walked through a confetti tunnel over to their car. As they sat in the back with a glass of champagne in hand everyone waved them off with cheers as they started their drive over to the Mercure Lambert Hotel.
The red carpet was out at the hotel as everyone arrived to enjoy reception drinks whilst we did a few family photos on the lawns. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere as everyone caught up and enjoyed the sunshine!
Next up was a delicious three course wedding breakfast which was soon followed by the speeches! The speeches are always one of my favourite parts of the wedding and everyone did such a great job of entertaining the guests with funny stories, presentations and lovely words about Harriet and David.
With the evening guests now arriving it was time for the first dance, which was another joy to capture and Harriet also had a special dance with her father Ian before everyone joined them to party the night away.
With darkness now upon us everyone made their way outside to make a sparkler tunnel which provided the perfect ending to a truly fantastic wedding day.
Harriet and David, it was such a pleasure to photograph your wedding day. We had a blast with you guys and all your lovely friends and family. I hope you are reading this sat with a cocktail in hand on the beach in the Maldives! Here is your sneak peek storyboard!
Big thanks also to Leela Wanless for assisting and 2nd shooting on the day, great job as always.
