Last Friday I had the privilege of photographing Julia and Ed’s awesome wedding at Old Luxter’s Barn in Henley on Thames.
I love the energy that Julia and Ed have together, always smiling and joking around. Julia really lights up the room with her infectious smile and you can tell Ed adores her in every way. They were simply a joy to be around and photograph.
We had the sunshine we were hoping for and this made for a really relaxed atmosphere with everyone enjoying the vineyards, cobbled areas, garden games, drinks, canapés and all the amazing details that made up this wedding. The table plan was one of the best I have ever seen, every guest had their own caricature drawn and gifted to them on their table. Such a cool idea.
We had great fun with Julia, Ed and their bridal party in the gardens and vineyards back at Old Luxter’s barn and plenty of time to get some fun documentary shots of everyone congratulating the happy couple.
One of the many highlights of the day was the speeches which were excellently delivered by Ed, Adrian and Dan. Plenty of laughter, a few happy tears and some great stories shared.
The day finished with toasting marshmallows on the open fires outside in the courtyard, dancing to the many hits played by the live band and a few competitive games of Kubb which were so much fun to capture.
Julia and Ed, I hope you are having the best time road tripping around the US. It was a pleasure to photograph your wedding day. I couldn’t wait to share some pictures with you so here’s your sneak peek storyboard!
Big thanks also to Kay for assisting and 2nd shooting on the day. Great work as always.
