My awesome Summer of weddings continued on Friday last week when I covered Izzie and Billy’s wedding at Notley Tythe Barn.
I knew from the moment I met this lovely couple that we would have a lot of fun on the wedding day and also how much they adored their families and wanted to both include and entertain them throughout the day.
I met up Izzie and her lovely bridesmaids at The Spread Eagle Hotel in Thame and they were all busy with hair and make up preparations as I took the time to photograph all the great details and goings on of the mornings excitement. Izzie looked stunning in her dress complete with a long veil, awesome Ted Baker shoes and a beautiful bouquet.
Rich had been busy over at Billy parents house photographing the Groomsmen as they enjoyed a few beers and got into their suits, ready to make their way over to Notley Tythe Barn to start greeting guests.
The barn was now full and it was all smiles, and a few tears as Izzie walked down the aisle with her proud brother Sam. The ceremony was lovely and it was a pleasure to capture Izzie and Billy saying their vows and exchanging rings in front of all their closest friends and family.
The sun was shining so everyone went outside to enjoy a glass of champagne and a few canapés whilst we did a few group shots. There was even a magician to entertain the guests and he wowed many of them with his array of tricks.
After a few hours in the sun it was time for the wedding breakfast which was enjoyed by all and soon followed by the speeches. Sam, Billy, Sammy and Izzie all did a great job of entertaining the guests with funny stories and plenty of lovely words about the beautiful bride.
With the sun starting to set we headed off to the nearby cornfield for some final portraits. The light was perfect and I love the set of images we got below.
After the first dance everyone headed outside for a special treat! Billy had arranged for some fire performers called “Heartburn” to do a show. It kicked off with Billy and Izzie lighting a heart and then sparks really flew as torches were lit, thrown in the air and an array of tricks and explosions lit up the sky. What a way to finish such an awesome wedding day.
Billy and Izzie, it was such a pleasure to play a part in your wedding day and capture so many memories for you both. I’m sure you are looking forward to seeing some pictures so heres your sneak peek storyboard!
Big thanks also to Richard Foister for assisting and 2nd shooting on the day.
