The Wedding of Katy and Matt – Manor Farm Barn Oxfordshire – Sneak peek storyboard!

I kicked off Easter early this year by photographing the beautiful wedding of Katy of Matt at Manor Farm Barn in Marsh Gibbon, Oxfordshire.

I had been looking forward to Katy and Matt’s wedding ever since we did a pre wedding shoot around Stowe Gardens a few months back. They both have a great energy together and had some great design ideas which I knew would work perfectly with the backdrop of Manor Farm Barn.

I met up with Katy, her parents and her lovely bridesmaids at their home in Aylesbury. Everyone was super excited for the day ahead and full of smiles and laughter as they enjoyed a few glasses of champagne in their personalised flutes! Katy looked stunning in her dress and there were many happy tears as she saw her Dad for the first time.

Matt and the Groomsmen had been enjoying a relaxed morning and a few beers in the pub just across the road from St Mary’s Church in Thame. They all looked very sharp in their suits complete with tweed waistcoats.

Katy and her Dad arrived at the church in style, in a vintage Rolls Royce! There was not a dry eye in the house as Katy walked down the aisle. I think its safe to say she took Matt’s breath away and that of all their friends and family.

It was a lovely relaxed ceremony with readings, hymns and words of marriage advice from the Vicar. Matt and Katy couldn’t stop smiling at each other and it was all a pleasure to capture.

The weather held just in time for the happy couple to leave via a confetti tunnel and make their short trip to Manor Farm Barn where Vikki and team were waiting with Champagne, canapés and a warm new reception area which had strings of polaroid photos of Katy, Matt and all their friends and family. Another perfect touch!

All the guests enjoyed the reception drinks whilst we did a few group shots in the warmth of the barn and even managed to pop outside between rain showers for some couple shots around the grounds.

Soon it was time for everyone to take their seats for the wedding breakfast and cheer the new Mr and Mrs Howard into the room to start the speeches. Russ, Matt and the Best Man did a cracking job of entertaining the guests with funny stories, thank you’s and some lovely words about the beautiful bride Katy.

With another break in the weather we did a few dramatic shots of the bridal party outside the Manor House before heading in for the final formality of the day, the first dance!

Katy and Matt took to the floor with a Neon “Love” sign behind them for their first dance as husband and wife and their guests soon joined them to party on into the evening and complete a fantastic wedding day.

Katy and Matt, it’s been a pleasure getting to know you both over these last few months and thanks so much for asking me to photograph your wedding day. Richard and I had a blast with you all. I couldn’t wait to put your sneak peek storyboard together so here it is!

Big thanks also to Rich for assisting and 2nd shooting, great job as always!
