Last Friday I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Tanya and Adam at The Tythe Barn in Launton.
I have known Tanya and Adam a couple of years as we go to the same gym and I was chuffed when they asked me to photograph their wedding day. I knew it would be a truly special day with a great couple and fantastic family and friends.
I started the day at the Nook which is the bridal suite at The Tythe Barn. Tanya couldn’t stop smiling and had already been spoilt by Adam with diamond earrings and her something blue! It was a really relaxed morning with the Prosecco flowing and the excitement building in preparation for a great day.
Tanya looked stunning in her dress which had amazing detail on the back and the long veil finished off the look perfectly. It all got a bit emotional as her bridesmaids and father, Ian saw her for the first time.
In the meantime Alex was over with Adam at Bicester Golf Club and Spa whilst Adam and his two Best men, Jason and Paul had haircuts and barber shaves. Adam looked super sharp in his suit complete with custom naming in both the suit and shirts.
The Groomsmen soon made their way over to the barn to greet guests as they arrived to fill the ceremony room. I love the barn all year round but especially in the Winter when the beams are covered in silver branches and fairly lights providing a really cosy Winter feel for the wedding celebrations.
Tanya had a very short walk as she made her way over from the Nook to walk down the aisle to see Adam for the first time. It was a lovely moment and a pleasure to capture, as was the whole ceremony. There were readings from Adam’s Sister, Lisa and also Tanya’s Mum, Jacqui and of course the all important reading of vows and exchange of rings. To top things off as they walked back down the aisle the sun was shining which meant they got to greet all their guests outside in the gardens.
Everyone enjoyed drinks and canapés in the cowshed and gardens as we did a few family group shots and then with the weather still kind we used the front of the barn for some shots of the happy couple.
After a great drinks reception it was time to head in for the wedding breakfast. Everyone welcomed the new Mr and Mrs Williams into the room with a huge cheer as they sat down to enjoy the amazing food.
After the starter Tanya’s Dad, Ian made a lovely speech, reminiscing about seeing Tanya grow up and how proud he is of her. Then Adam took over the mic and did a great of thanking everyone who had helped make the wedding so special as well as some truly heart felt words about his brother Paul, his Best Man, Jason and of course his new wife, Tanya.
After the main course it was time for the Best Men to take to the mic. Paul started off with some stories about growing up with his little bro and how he loved being Adam’s older brother and then Jason had the guests in hysterics with funny one liners and a few photos of Adam’s early years.
With the wedding breakfast complete everyone headed back to the cowshed for Expresso Martinis before coming back into the barn for the cutting of the cake and the first dance.
The cake had been made by Adam’s sister Lisa and was a true homage to Adam and Tanya’s love of CrossFit. After the cake was cut it was time to hit the dance floor and once Adam and Tanya had their first dance as husband and wife all their guests joined them to get the party started!!
Tanya and Adam, I’m so chuffed for you both. It was so nice to go through the photos and see how happy you both are. It truly was the perfect wedding day and I couldn’t wait to share some photos with you both, so get those Vegas cocktails ready, heres your sneak peek storyboard!
Big thanks also to Alex Bradbury for assisting and 2nd shooting on the day, great job as always mate.
